Blanco Verde’s Mission and Goals

The mission of Blanco Verde is to foster the sustainability of the Blanco River Watershed and its natural systems; to provide community based activities which nurture connections between individuals and groups; to promote the concepts of bioregions, economic development, community self-determination, and regional self-reliance.

To this purpose, we will:

SUPPORT economic development by featuring local and green businesses on our website’s bioregional calendar, seasonal tours, and advertising at our website and events.

EDUCATE youth and adults through seminars, workshops, and discussion of the benefits and values of living in harmony with a place.

NURTURE our local culture by providing entertaining and enlightening events that enrich our connections to each other and our environment.
